Light Green Normal

Colour Breeding:

Colour breeding is governed by rules of genetics, these rules are the Mendelian Theory of Inheritance. I will not attemp to explain this theory only to say there are different modes of inheritance, some traits are dominant some are recessive ,and others are sex linked .Here we are concerned with colour so let's talk about colour.I am most familiar with budgie colour so that is where I will start .Budgie basic wild colour is light green this colour is dominant to all other colours, it can be modified by other colour modifiers but maintains the basic green colour. There are three shades of green light green ,dark green and olive green. We have discussed the green, it is time to discuss recessive characteristics seeing as how all other colours are recessive to light green. The first recessive colour we will discuss is the blue, this was one of the first mutations to occur, as in the light green there are three shades of blue these are sky blue, cobalt blue, and mauve.Sky blue is my favourite colour.
